As a commercial portrait photographer I do help my clients show them in their profession. Their line of work is their passion, just as much as mine is envisioning how to set their personal brand in a portrait session.
My past as Senior Art Director and Creative Director in prestigious ad agencies certainly help having an eye for the right situation.
When architect Paola di Romano from PdR Architects in Vésenaz near Genève / Geneva asked me to create her headshot, I immediately envisioned her at work. How her existing and potential clients would imagine an architect crunching numbers and details and offer solutions.
That is how her line of portraits came along.
She brought one of the mock-ups of an architecture project and we set up her photo session around her line of work.
I knew Paola from our networking meetings at AGRP for which I shoot the big events.
Bubbly and witty, with her italian origins, I knew that we were in for a lot of fun on that day. Switching between French, English and my rusty Italian, joking and yet being totally focused, the photoshoot was successfully executed and done within the timeframe.
The final shots are used on her website. Check her work out over at http://www.pdrarchitects.ch
